This component of the research center is broadly oriented to enhancing our understanding of health care practices and their effect on patient 4 outcome. It encompasses not only clinical issues and interventions related to amputation prevention but also surgical decision making, health care factors that contribute to differences in clinical outcome and the effects of prosthetic components on patient function.
